Bytedance

A department within Bytedance applies dtm to the automated build of an environment. Building an environment is an application scenario that requires coordination in multiple places, takes a long time and is prone to interruptions in the middle of the process. By introducing dtm, the following is achieved.

With dtm, the environment is not built in a half-built state, so that it is either built successfully or all cleaned up.
Through subtransaction barriers, avoiding some parts of the process being reentered concurrently and causing problems

Although the concurrency could be increased by splitting microservices, the consistency was difficult to guarantee. Only Java has a mature solution in the market, represented by Seata. We had too much work to cut the server-side language into Java, so a new solution was needed, thus the birth of dtm.
